When you think about the best female bodies in Hollywood, Fergie has got to be one of the first names that comes to mind – and rightfully so. The singer/songwriter/actress/pretty much everything else has got her fitness figured out, and it shows in her slim lean Hollywood figure. Standing in at 5 foot 2 and 105 pounds, Fergie has an aesthetically gorgeous body with well balanced proportions.
Ladies, Fergie is an amazing female fitness role model. While soaring a the top of her career in the most difficult business in the world, Fergie makes sure she keeps her body on the same level as that of her booming career. Fergie’s slim waist accentuates her curves; she is lean for sure, but maintains those sexy curves at the same time – the perfect balnace of both.
So enough of the jibber-jabber, right? You want Fergie’s Workout Plan? You got it.
Fergie’s Fitness Routine:
If you’ve seen my Megan Fox Workout, you can see that much of the emphasis was placed on core exercises and cardio, switching between intervals and steady state. Well, Fergie’s workout is a bit more extensive, which is good for girls who are looking for more variety in their workouts.
Fergie reportedly gets some sort of workout in nearly every day, with 2 hour sessions not uncommon. To stay lean, Fergie’s main focuses are cardio and diet. To shape and maintain her curves, she relies mostly on calisthenics, body weight exercises, and high intensity routines.
Fergie sample interval circuit: Perform one minute on each exercise, rest 15 seconds, then onto the next. Complete the entire circuit 3 times:
- Body weight squat
- High knees
- Tricep extensions
- Dumb bell shoudler press
- Split jumps
For women, emphasis on the legs, arms and core are vital. The above circuit workout focuses on all three. This circuit, including rest periods takes around 20 minutes to complete. Follow this workout with a 5 minute rest period, and then hit the treadmill, stationary bike, or some other form of steady-state, low-intensity cardio for another 20-45 minutes, depending on your current figure.
Fergie will often include this core workout before or after her cardio session, and practices yoga as well, for flexibility and improving her range of motion.
Take a look: Fergie includes strength training, high intensity cardio, low intensity cardio, ab workouts and yoga – all which synergistically create a well balanced workout, which translates into a well balanced sexy physique. Fergalicious!
Fergie’s Diet Plan:
Fergie’s diet plan is nothing extraordinary, but it does require good food choices, discipline, and a couple advanced dieting techniques. She eats her carb sources primarily around her workouts, and leaves the rest of her day to protein and healthy fats. However, she does let loose an indulge in a few weekly cheat meals. This Program allows her to do so. By using the principles behind this program, Fergie can cheat and stay sexy… awesome!
Portion control isn’t easy, but necessary for Fergie to stay slim. Now that she is at “maintenance level,” Fergie can eat a bit more than previously, but when slimming down, a calorie deficit must be created to lose weight. One way to be able to eat completely normally, and even a bit loosely is by using tactics from Eat Stop Eat, which outlines everything there is to know about Intermittent Fasting, a nutritional technique that many of today’s celebrities are implementing into their diet plans. But since we all love specifics, here’s a day of normal eating for Fergie, when the above tactics are not being used:
- Breakfast – 6 egg white veggie omelet or 2 slices of whole wheat toast with some natural peanut butter.
- AM snack – Fergie has 4 ounces of non-fat plain organic yogurt with 2 tablespoons of granola mixed in or 6 oz fat free cottage cheese.
- Lunch – Green salad with lean protein mixed in (chicken or turkey) and topped with avocado and fat free dressing… Yum!
- Afternoon snack – Often times an all-natural protein bar or a piece of fruit with some almonds
- Late snack – Raw veggies dipped in hummus
- Dinner – Grilled or poached salmon, 1/2 cup whole-wheat couscous or quinoa, plenty of fibrous veggies and 2 tablespoons of hot sauce for flavor; or grilled balsamic chicken, brown rice and spinach.
